Mohanthal Sweet Recipe How to Prepare

      Mohanthal is a popular gujarati sweet that is often prepared during Diwali. khoya, milk or cream, ghee, sugar and intensely fried besan are used to prepare this. The recipe i am sharing is not an authentic one. But is a short cut and quick method to making Mohan thal in less than 25 mins. This recipe is good for those who do not know how to check the string consistency properly which the traditional mohanthal recipe calls for. I love sweets.. I like making Burfi’s for the fact that it can be stored for several days and I can have a little sweet everyday. Lets see the process to make easy and simple method...... :)

Ingredients :-

  • Besan 250 grams
  • Ghee 2 spoons
  • Milk 5 spoons
  • Unsweetend Khoya (or) Mava (In telugu pachi kova)
  • Sugar 200 grams
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 spoon
  • Ghee 150 grams
  • Badam, Pista for decorate
Mohanthal  Sweet Recipe How to Cook
Method :-

  1. First take a bowl add sugar, water and mix it, and move it to heat in medium flame only.
  2. When sugar syrup consistency will came one thread, then add khoya, ghee and mix it well for.  
  3. Now take a pan add besan and fry it for good smell. It came good smell, then add cardamom powder mix it well then move it to a side. 
  4. And now the besan is ready to prepare another step, then add to sugar syrup and  mix it like a thick paste. 
  5. When it came thick then move it to stove again boil it, (don't stop to mix). When ghee oozes out then move it to a side.
  6. Take a plate apply ghee, and then turn to the mixture into plate and spread it. Now add fried dry fruits spread to the sweet.
  7. Put it a side for 10 minutes for rest, then cut it into  small pieces then move it to a serving plate and serve it.......
