Andhra Style Pine Apple Rasam Recipe How to Prepare

   Pineapple Rasam is very special variety of rasam as it is absolutely unique by its flavor, aroma and taste. It makes a nice variation from the regular rasams. In this recipe, the pineapple chunks (grated pine apple) are cooked along with tomato and other spices. It tastes yummy when.. served hot with white rice, pappad and any spicy curry. Also you can drink it as soup as it is. So go ahead and give a try, sure you'll love this..:) This pineapple rasam is a sweet and sour combination mixed with ripe pineapple pieces, rasam powder, pineapple puree and toor dal. This recipe is very easy with little ingredients and tastes amazing. Actually we prepare rasam normal only, in south side its compulsory. Any functions, any party rasam is must.. In south side this regular recipe.... But today so different rasam.. Its  sweet and spicy... I saw this recipe in telugu t.v. channel, I will tried it in my home wow so good.... Nice aroma flavor and taste also so good to eat.. Rasam is a spiced, thin soup from South India. There are several varieties of rasam recipes. The basic spices are the same but proportions and other additions vary according to region. Pineapple Rasam is an variety of rasam which we going to see today. It is really good to have when you have cold. We enjoyed pineapple rasam with hot steamed rice and vadas....quite a comforting meal!!  You can also eat with chapati so good taste and special also..... Ingredients :-

  • Pine apple grated 1 cup
  • Pine apple juice or puree 1/4 cup
  • Tomato 1
  • Tamarind paste 4 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves 6
  • Red chili powder 1tbsp
  • Dry red chilies 2
  • Yellow lentils 8 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper seeds 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 6 tsp
  • Coriander, curry leafs

Preparation :-


  1. First take a pan add oil to heat, when oil is heated then add mustard seeds, 1/2 spoon cumin seeds fry it for. Then add curry leafs, dry red chili pieces and fry it for.
  2. Water 2 glasses, tamarind paste, finely chopped tomato pieces and mix it well, then add pine apple juice, pine apple grated mixture and then mix it well.
  3. Then add salt, turmeric powder mix it and boil it for 5 minutes. Then add red chili powder and then mix it well and boil it.
  4. Next take a pan to heat it, then  add  yellow lentils fry it for good smell then move it to a jar. 
  5. Then add coriander seeds, pepper seeds, dry red chilies, cumin seeds and fry it good smell and then move to a jar and add garlic cloves and grind it fine powder. 
  6. When the rasam is boiled then add grind masala powder mix it well and then boil it one boil.
  7. Rasam will be boiled then add coriander leafs and then mix it, move it to a serving bowl and serve it.........

     Moong Dal is one of my Dad favorite dals or lentils. He love's alot moong dal pappu. This Moong Dal Coconut Milk Pappu Recipe is yummy I can assure you that. You can eat this dal as soup or as a meal upto you. Also this recipe is mild, light spiced, low fat yet yummy and delicious. My mom loved it, I also like it this recipe. I was overwhelmed by her response…Do try this Moong Dal Recipe! Moong is very healthy even infants can have them. Sprouted moong bean has more nutritive value. There are lot of dishes made in India from Moong. Some of them are dals, vegetable, soup, Moong dosas, dried moong dal and the list goes on and on. And also my mom add some vegges and prepare pappu... If your household in anything like mine, where any dish with lentils has to be a part of the everyday meal – be it in rasam, sambhar, kootu or sabji – here is a recipe for a quick dal prepared with yellow mung dal. This simple non-spicy dish would go with rotis, rice or any south Indian meal and would generally compliment a spicy dish. And also use some people in south side fresh grated coconut also used. But now I used only milk some different and special item. The coconut in this yellow moong dal gives it such a unique flavor.... Its so tasty and quickly prepared recipe. In Andhra side this very special food for baby's.. My amma prepare this recipe for my sis son, my amma prepare this rice, little bit salt, moong dal and then boil it like a paste... Then add ghee in it wow its also good.. :).. My sister son food.. is ready, this food will give to baby in evening time so healthy food.. Actually this almost know my means this old recipe........ Ingredients :-
  • Moong Dal 1 Cup
  • Coconut milk 1/4 cup
  • Red chilies 2
  • Green chilies 5
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leafs
  • Coriander leafs
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 5 tbsp
Coconut Milk Moong Dal Pappu
Preparation :-

  1. First take cooker add moong dal, water and then cook. When the dal is cooked then start next process.
  2. Next take pan add oil  to heat, when oil is heated then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chili pieces, to fry then add green chili pieces also to fry it.
  3. Then add curry leafs, boiled dal paste,coconut milk, 1/2 glass water, salt, turmeric powder then mix it well.
  4. And boil it for 10 minutes in low flame. After 10 minutes check salt and then move it to a bowl and then serve it with hot rice with ghee... Or take with chapati also you can take it..
