Hi, today recipe "Berrakaya Pappu" (Ridge Gourd Dal) recipe...... In Andhra and South side we regularly prepare dal recipes... Its very important in your daily life.. We prepare this festival time, marriages we defiantly must and should want.. We prepare so many dal veg recipe have same process, but veges will be changed.. Like brinjal dal, leafy veges, cucumber dal like so manyyyyyyy....... I will defiantly share here my sweet viewers.......... There are wide varieties of dal, that can be prepared. In this recipe of beerakaya pappu, dal/lentil is cooked with ridge gourd. Ridge gourd is very rich in fiber. So friends lets see the process to make it.....
Ingredients :-
- Ridge gourd medium size 2
- Yellow lentils (kandi pappu) 1 cup
- Tomatoes 3 big size
- Onions 2 medium size
- Green chilies 10
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Tamarind little bit
- Oil 6 tbsp
- Garlic cloves 3
- Urad dal 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Red chilies 2
- Hing pinch
Process :-
- First take a cooker add cleaned lentils, ridge gourd pieces, tomato pieces, onion pieces, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, tamarind, water 1 glass then close with lid boil it... 4 vissel came then switch off the gas... And cool it for.
- When the cooker is cool then open the lid, add salt then mash it like this..
- Now take a wok add oil to heat, when oil is heat urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic crush to fry... Then add curry leaves, red chili pieces to fry, now add mashed dal to pan mix it well.. Boil it for 1 minute then move it to a serving bowl......
