Chayote Tomato Curry (Bangalore Vankaya Curry)

Its very tasty and simple chayote tomato curry recipe. My sister  made this recipe. Its really tasty and delicious curry.. It take with rice, roti, chapati..Its lunch time are dinner time is best curry...

Ingredients :-

  • Chayote 1
  • Onions 3
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Oil 6 to 8 spoons
  • Mustard seeds 1 spoon
  • Jeera 1 spoon
  • Urad dal 1 spoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 2 spoons
  • Coriander powder 1 spoon
  • Curry leafs, coriander leafs
Chayote Tomato Curry How to Prepare
Method :-

  1. First peel the chayote (bengalooru vankaya) and wash it, then cut it into small pieces. 
  2. Next take a wok add oil, when oil is heat then add urad dal, mustard seeds, jerra fry it for 1 minute, then add curry leaves and mix it well.
  3. Now add chopped onions to fry for 5 minutes, and then add chopped tomatoes to fry it.
  4. Then add salt to taste, turmeric powder, chayote pieces and mix it well. Put the lid cook for 5 minutes.
  5. When the chayote is cooked add 1/2 glass of water and cook it.
  6. Chayote is boiled add red chilli powder, coriander leaves and mix it. Put if for 5 mins.
  7. And then turn to a bowl and serve it.
