Any size of prawns is good however medium sized prawns goes well with this kind of curry. The main flavor of south Indian food are mustard seed, red chilies, curry leaves and coconut. Coconut is found in abundance in south Indian region. So coconut is used in almost all of their dishes.  I am in love with coconut water and coconut milk. Its yummy + great for health.  We were eating it about once a week, it’s tasty, healthy and quick, and fit in perfectly on those evenings.Now, when I like something, I tend to talk about it, this curry is prepare my sister awesome taste and spicy   prawn curry.  It requires using masses of fresh tomatoes and a fresh coconut or use dry coconut powder. But today we prepare this curry with dry coconut. It really is super quick once you’ve ground the spices, I would estimate no more than half an hour, although try to buy peeled prawns to save your self time. Actually we want to market that they had so people to clean the prawns and fishes to clean in the market. Than we pay for it the cleaned items. That's we got some more time save... Then came to then once again clean it neatly.. Now to prepare to ready prawns..... So lets see the prawn curry how to prepare it in South Indian style....... 

Ingredients


  • Prawns  1 kg
  • Onions  one big size
  • Red chilli powder 3 tbsp
  • Tomato 1
  • Turmeric 1/2 tbsp
  • Oil  10 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1,1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste 2, 1/2 tbsp
  • Dry coconut 50 grams
  • Coriander leaves
  • Curry leaves

Method :-

  • First take a wok add oil to heat, when oil is heated and then add some onions to fry it for few minutes.

  • Next add turmeric powder, salt, curry leaves fry for and then add prawns and  mix well and boil it for 10 minutes in medium flame.

  • Next take a jar add fried coriander seeds, dry coconut pieces, ginger garlic paste and grind it  fine powder. And then add some water and then again grind it fine paste.

  • Now prawn are boiled and then add some tomato pieces and then mix it well. And then cook it for 2 minutes. Next add red chili powder, coconut paste and then mix it well.

  • And then boil it for 5 minutes put the lid to cook the curry. After 5 minutes its came good smell and then add 2 1/2 cups of water mix it well.  And again put the lid and cook it well..

  • When the curry is totally boiled and then add fresh coriander leaves, garam masala powder and mix it well. And cook it for 10 more minutes for.

  • After 10 minutes once check the curry is almost done and then once mix it well the curry cooked and then move it to a bowl....
