Khichdi Moong Dal Recipe How to Prepare in Pressure Cooker

It is easy to digest and nutritious. Rice and dal makes for a healthy combo. I have added a few vegetables to make it even more nutritious. Moong dal khichadi is usually prepared by many. What I had added my touch here is that I have used the whole moong dal for the rice khichadi to make it more healthy and to give it a difference. The khichadi is a rice preparation with the moong dal. Pipping hot khichadi with ghee on top is a divine combination. Ingredients :-

  • Moong Dal 1 cup
  • Rice 1/2 cup
  • Carrot pieces 1/2 cup
  • Onions 2
  • Tomato 1
  • Cloves 5
  • Cinnamon stick pieces 5
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee 8 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Moong Dal Khichdi Recipe How to Prepare
Preparation :-

  1. First take a cooker add ghee to heat, when ghee is heated then add cloves, cinnamon sticks, chopped onions, tomato pieces to fry it for lite gold color.
  2. When the onion's are boiled then add then add chopped carrot also to fry it for 5 minutes. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder and mix it well.
  3. And then add soaked rice, and moong dal and mix it well. Now add 2,1/2 cup water, salt and mix it well for.Then put the lid and cook it for 4 vissels..
  4. After 4 vissels switch off the gas and then wait for 10 minutes for... After 10 minutes open the lid and then mix it well for... And then move it to a serving bowl and then serve it hot only....
